Mr. Jean-Claude Flabel has over 39 years’ experience in aircraft stress analysis with many aerospace companies—including Rockwell International, Sikorsky Aircraft, Gulfstream American, Bell Aerospace, and American Jet Industries. A graduate from the University of California at Northridge, 1970, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mr. Flabel has demonstrated leadership positions and achievements beyond the principal job objectives as an accomplished aircraft stress engineer. This includes the safety-of-flight certification of primary structures and components of commercial and Department of Defense military aircraft. As program director of off-campus programs for Engineering Contract Services (ECS), Mr. Flabel is credited with contributing to the successful development and implementation of this company’s engineering training program on-site at major U.S. aerospace companies.
This training program has been approved by the following aerospace companies: Rockwell International, Douglas Aircraft Company, Northrop Advanced Systems Division, Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, NASA—John F. Kennedy Space Center, General Dynamics—Fort Worth Division, McDonnell Douglas Corporation, and others. Mr. Flabel was commissioned by these companies from the early 1980s to conduct in-plant training classes presenting the material he developed to thousands of their design and stress engineers. These successful training classes were also approved by the School of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Louisiana Tech University, West Coast University, and Northrop University, and meet the same standards of quality for continuing education as these institutions have set for their own core of engineering classes.
